Castilla Port, located on the northern coast of Honduras, was initially established as a shipping location for United Fruit Company. However, currently, the port is mainly used as a container terminal for the fruit production of Dole Food Company. There is also a naval base located in this small village port. The port has a cargo capacity of approximately 104,576 TEUs and its main export products include fruits, palm oil, and bananas. It handles around 68,000 tons of cargo and approximately 200 container ships each year. It is equipped with one of the best port facilities in the country and operates a modern and comprehensive berth.
